What is a Trading Partner Relationship?

A Closing Market Trading Partner Relationship is the equivalent to an electronic handshake. The originator of the service request (the consumer) selects a service provider on the Closing Market Portal. This request is simply a way for the consumer to request the ability to order products and services electronically from the provider. Only consumers can initiate a Trading Partner relationship.

Once the originator places the request, the service provider is notified via an email that instructs them to login to their Closing Market Administration page on the portal and either accept or deny the request.

If the Service Provider accepts the request they have the ability to assign pertinent information as required to identify the requesting enterprise. Once the provider has approved and completed their portion of the Trading Partner Relationship request, an email is sent to requesting enterprise and the parties are now available to exchange orders and data through the Closing Market network.
