Charles Jones Statewide Lien Search:
Liens docketed in the Law Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey extend as a lien on real estate throughout the jurisdiction of the Court, and therefore have "statewide general lien" status. Our search is a certified statewide general lien search (i.e., Upper Court Judgment Search) covering the twenty year statutory period that consists of a search of judgments, liens, and bankruptcies filed in the N.J. Superior Court, the U.S. District Court for N.J., and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for N.J. It also includes a search of child support judgments filed in New Jersey and CERCLA liens (also known as "Superfund" liens).
Charles Jones Patriot Search:
Effective September 24, 2001, President Bush issued Executive Order 13224, (as amended by Order 13268), which requires anyone conducting a financial transaction to determine if the person(s) with whom they are doing business are listed on the Blocked Persons List. In addition, the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 requires similar checks and procedures.
Our certified search of the list of "Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons", published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of Treasury satisfies the requirements of the Executive Order. The Patriot Search is also offered as an option when ordering a Charles Jones Statewide Lien Search.
